Game modes in Tank64
Tank64 has five online modes. All of them are free, run straight in the browser and fill up with real players from around the world — bots only top up empty rooms. Here are the rules and a bit of tactics for each one.

Deathmatch
Everyone for themselves. No teams, no allies: shoot any tank in your sights and climb the table. Whoever lands the most frags before the round ends takes it. This is the mode most newcomers start with — nothing to coordinate, you just learn to shoot and stop walking into fire.
Team Battle
The classic team fight: two sides, a shared score, victory decided by team points. Sticking together matters more than padding personal stats — a lone tank in a frontal push does not last long. A good mode for playing with friends against random opponents.
Territory Control
Territory control. The map has several key zones: the longer your team holds a point, the faster the points come in. The win goes not to the sharpest shooters but to the best organised team — the one that splits up in time and does not abandon what it captured.
Capture the Flag
Capture the flag. Break into the enemy base, grab their flag and carry it home — while your own flag stays where it belongs. Roles sort themselves out: someone pushes, someone guards. The most team-driven mode in the game.
Crown Holder
Crown holder. A crown appears on the map and the clock runs for whoever carries it. Take the crown and you become everyone's target, so holding it longer than your rivals is harder than grabbing it. Fast swings of momentum and a constant chase.
